Your pictures are beautiful. I am sure that you had a difficult time choosing which pictures to include in the card. In my unprofessional opinion, it seems that you have too many pictures, and the viewer is unsure where to look. On the left side there are three different belly pictures, maybe you could choose just one.
Another thing that is a little distracting are the boxes in the top right hand corner. I feel that if you are going to use boxes, they are more visually appealing if they are lined up with each other. As I said, you have beautiful pictures! |

Awesome pictures. I see the desire to want to use them all. But I think there are too many. Simplify... I love the faded background and the lower left image. I honestly think that might be enough for a thank you card.

WickPhotography,
Sometimes finding a fit for a subject is tough - simply put, Critique is for one photo, advice about all aspects of a photo, and even edits as advice is given. It's a choice of words: you can get good suggestions and comments in Composition - since you aren't asking about the qualities of the photography. Critique is different. That's why I've moved you here. About "direction of gaze:" we tend to look in the direction a person in a photo is looking. When you put a photo on the right of a person looking to the right, we are drawn out of the frame. Same with the image on the left, facing left. Our attention is divided outward. Variety can relieve the sameness of boxes - try ovals, circles, overlap some shots. And as previous comments suggest - less is more when it's all one subject. Three or five would be plenty - we get that she's pregnant. With the text typeface and edging treatment, it begins to hint of an old wild west poster, or an antique announcement. Look at cards at your local stationery store for some ideas about colors and decorative add-ons. Then think about your client's likes and dislikes. It's all about her.
