Default Composition in Macro Shots

Hi guys, newbie here. Need your critique with my macro shot. I know it pretty much violates the rule of thirds but I think it looks ok. What do I need to improve or remember when taking macro shots? Thanks in advance!

Very cool.. I don't recall ever seeing a macro with a bright blue sky in the background.

it is a very cool shot....but...to my eye you've given up a sharp focus on the subject ( flower ) to achieve a better focus on the clouds. the flower seems a little blurry or possibly oversaturated. I like the idea though.

regards,
mike

Yeah I think I oversaturated it. I was using a circular polarizer filter to highlight more of the clouds. I may have over polarized it. I thought the idea was good, just a heck of a pain in the neck to get that angle! Thanks for comment!
