Default Old photo composition

I took this picture 3 years ago at the end of my 12 day South Pacific tour. My memory card was running out of space and I still had one day left before heading home, so I couldn't just snap pictures as much as I want. I had no idea about composition and even if I did, I could never tell how someone's bungy jumping jump would turn out.

This picture is hardly interesting to me as it is. I was wondering if there was any way to crop it to look more interesting or that the jump was higher than it looks. I've tried on my own, but only managed to make an amateurish photo look more amateurish.

This is just an offhand idea -- I'd try it for you, but the attached version is much too small to look good. You could try a skewed crop: try to make the photo contain the upper right (including part of the boom) and all of the jumper, at an angle such that the jumper appears to be going down and slightly left. This would require a rectangular crop whose long direction would run approximately top-left to bottom-right. Does that make sense? I think that might give a little change to things.

But, it looks like everything is so distant that you may not have enough detail in the photo to make this work out.

This image is 25% for the real size, but there was an upload restriction on the size so I cut it down.

I'll try it though. It can't hurt

Edit: I put it on flickr, because I tried the croppings and it came out no good. Maybe someone else can do it right.

I gave it a try but really lost some resolution when I enlarged it to crop.

I eventually decided to do something a little different and ended up doing some editing rather than cropping down. Thanks for the suggestions and help dcclark and FromtheBackofaHorse.
