Hello Carrie -
I'm not a Pentax user (Canon 5D Mk 2 and 7D here), but I found a K20D manual online - here is a link to the pdf, but it should match with your manual as well. Page 114 looks to have the answer. "The grid and AF frame can be displayed during Live View. Set in [Live View] (p.228) in the [➤Playback] menu." http://www.pentaximaging.com/files/s...20D_Manual.pdf Hope this helps.

On a further note, I use Live View a TON on my 5D Mk 2 for my landscape/macro work. It has literally transformed how I photograph the landscape - it is probably the biggest advancement in photography after digital imaging and autofocus. I don't know how the Pentax system works, but the 5D Mk 2 allows me to see the exposure changes in real time (over and under) as well as view a live histogram. I can even press the Depth of Field Preview button and see the actual DOF with the active exposure. I also use the digital zoom on the Live View screen to achieve great focus accuracy on the exact spot I want it.
Hope this helps.
