Default Which Version?

I am thinking about entering this photo in a CAPA competition. Which one do you think. The second is cropped tighter, in a different aspect ratio, and I slightly darkened the background by bringing the exposure down with a mask. I think the second one is stronger.

original
Mountain Dew 2

New Version

Yup, I think you're right. I read a quote on here somewhere (sorry can't remember the source) about if your photo isn't good enough, you weren't close enough. So good call
