Default Overprocessing or Just right?

I have a problem with overprocessing images. I am new to Photoshop and still blown away by what it can do.

So do you think that I overprocessed this image? Is the original better?

Original:

Old Dock Unprocessed

Processed:

Old Dock

Although the processed one does look better than the original...I think it's a tad bit overprocessed. But since I can't offer you any suggestions...I should just shut my mouth Lol. This is a great shot!

If you're going for a realistic-looking picture, then I think you overprocessed it. Your contrast is a bit high. I did the exact same thing when I started using GIMP though, so don't worry about it, you'll find a balance.

I personally prefer the processed one you posted but I would like it even better if the saturation was turned down by just about 10%.

Yeah, I think the processed one is a bit overdone. I really like sharp contrast, but I should tone it down a notch. Thanks for the input.

I prefer unprocessed, but I think some things could be done to make it better. It needs a LITTLE clarity, a little saturation, and the blacks can be bumped just a tiny bit.

Almost, I agree with the other posters. A little smidgeon too far processed.

I think you could try to find a middle ground between the two. It was a great image to begin with, and the processed one is more intense, but just a bit overprocessed(especially on the boards). The original was only slightly dull on the mountains, the boards where fine. If you could find a way to process the mountains more than the boards, it would be perfect.

i think that most people would say overprocessed, but im one of those people that kinda like some of those over processed pics. and this is one of those that i like! i think it kinda cool. but if you feel its too much, just tone it inbetween the original and edit, and i think it would be perfect. i personally still like your edit though
