And on that note, I totally disagree. I think the green one looks abstract and processed. I like the clean colors and sharp reflections of the PCB in the background, with the spindle a floating like a UFO in an otherwise featureless black sky.

Disclaimer: I'm a computer nerd. That probably affects my bias....

Both are good, depends on what you will do with this photo, as art/illustration or commercial sales. Whose eye do you want to catch?

:-) Noones, not with this photo ... it was a 10 second Lightroom slider / export to use as an example for this new forum.

But thanks for stopping by. Appreciated.

The second one gets my vote.
All the white around the subject in the first one seems a bit distracting. This area seems more subtle in the second..

Default Go with real

Richard is saving me a lot of typing. He nails down the issues that I have as well. The colour adds nothing to and in no way supports the subject. Everything about the second photo from colour to crispness of detail says "this is high tech". It's an excellent photograph, I say don't mess with it.

Although I found the green tone eye catching I would have to ask who the picture was intended for. I'm a tech person and found the second pic more usefull from that point of view. It was clear and precise.
