Default Disapearing Act

Before:
DSC_0108

Ok, so this was taken a while ago so I'm gonna do a quick run through of everything I did to the best of my knowlodge.

Here goes . . .

Photoshop Elements 5.0 with Wacom Digital Tablet and Pen:
Foreground:
Tweeked the warmness using the Enhancments tab
Brightened greens & blues
Brightened eyes using a seperate layer on 50% or so opacity
Sharpened eyes & hair
Fixed blemishes using Spot-healing tool
Smoothed skin using layers set to defferend opacities and colors Eyedropped from the skin
Added more exposure to skin
8 x 10 crop

Background:
Used multiple colors from surrounding area using the Eyedropper and buzzed over destracting fence and basketball players with the Pen.
Lassoed light fragments from surrounding area and copy/pasted them to different places in bg
Blurred bg using Blur tool

And vua-la!
After:
D5 edit

These were taken a couple weeks after I got my camera. I'm not especially happy with this shot because it took so much to edit, but it was only my little sister and my mom was happy with them so whatever. All I'm sayin' is that these suck compared to my new stuff. Acually I could probably take the After picture with my new 35mm 1.8 lens and not have to do half the stuff in order to get the After effect. And a better location would've helped all the Photoshopping in the bg. Anyway, this shot is interesting in and of it's self. So enjoy gawking at my kooky editing job and have fun shooting!

I like the result, so often people go too far and the final pic looks unnatural and over processed but this looks just right - well done.

What do you mean "only my little sister", she has a sweet face!
