Default Tornado Danger...help requested

Tornados recently ravaged through my hometown. I wasn't able to get there for the best photo opportunities, but some weeks later I made the trip. There was very little left to capture, but this site really moved me. I snapped a few pictures (I was being rushed by impatient family) but none of them worked out like I had hoped for. I tried PP with photoshop but I just can't get anything I'm really crazy about. Here is what I came up with. I would love any feedback. Please feel free to copy and edit but please only post your results on this forum.
BEFORE:

AFTER:
1. Adjusted contrast
2. Removed color
3. Added shadows with paintbrush (Black- 30%) in the bottom corners to hopefully ad some depth.

Nice. I think a lomo effect might cool on this shot also. Here's an easy photoshop tutorial in case you're interested.

Hey, Welcome to dPS... I resized your image, it was a little bit big. (Check out the rules if you're not sure of sizes and stuff) I like your retouch... I'm a big fan of high(er) contrast black and whites.
