that would mke it so much easier! Actually tahts one of the reasons I said this is not a good photo for it. I think if I had a darker image and background it would give it the gritty look it needs. I have to practice this a bit more.....

Just so you know when you click it it will download a ten step worflow taht walks you through the process. You download then open it in Photoshop. then just click off the cover page and it shows you in detail with description page by page the steps the ge tthe effect. really easy but very different type of tutorial.

I'm afraid I didn't have much success with this myself...I'm not very good with Photoshop and I got frustrated very quickly. I think the key to getting this technique right is that you don't have to have the perfect background though. Yes, it helps to have a certain type of photo, but the results shown here...

...are nearly the perfect take on this technique. Not too over the top, but I'm guessing you could certainly take it that far.

On that note, has anybody ever bought any of the tutorials from Davro Digital? Are they any good? Sure seems to know his stuff...

Ha ha, sorry j/k. Thanks for the links to tutorials and stuff, and I agree with everyone else, its the wrong pic for dragan effect. If you use that image, I'd darken the background, vignette it so its almost black.
