Default Field of fire. (corny I know)

Before

After

What I did...

The pic was inspired by a shot edited in Photoraphy Magazine. (Will find name and pic title later)

I cut the bottom of the field shot and the top of the sunset picture. matched the up in a new picture. once I had the bottom right I pasted a new copy over the original and used multiply blend to dark it .. the sunset is washed out colour wise and has a mast in the original so I placed a black square behind the layer and used blend Soft Light (i think) to darken the colours up removed the mast with the clone tool.. after matching the join as best I could I merged all the layers and then added a burn to the field to blend it a bit better with the sky... job done a pic I am more than hapy with and hope the original finds it flattering a numpty like me copied it

Not bad for Serif I say always amazed at what this lil program can do.

Thank you ! Will be trying this on a few more older images that I took before starting here to see what I can come up with as last night discovered a few more images that could work well with this treatment
also Serif is masively underrated so was nice to see it punching above it's weight since the original image I took the idea from is done in Photoshop. hoping to upgrade to X3 soon also

The resulting picture is dramatic and beautiful. Really hot!

To do this type of tricks I follow the tutorial given here:

http://boitblog.blogspot.com/2007/08...will-have.html

It is not too difficult and the results are quite decent. Yours is great, don't get me wrong.
I just think that maybe you'd like to try something else.
