Default Pin up?

Took this shot in January and re-discovered it last month. I bumped up the blacks in ACR and used blur in a mask to soften the skin, after cloning out imprefections. I bumped up the makeup using levels and masked-on the heavier makeup. Selected the teeth to whiten them by desaturating the yellows and increasing the lightness by +3. I sharpened using unsharp mask. I cropped it and there you have it.

What do you think?

I like the over all edited image a lot, but I'd have left the eye shadow as in the original image.

I'll the be the odd one out, but I think the second one is overdone. It's way too bright/ contrasty, IMHO.
I think you should try again and try to keep a more realistic approach.

Man, that sounded harsh; I mean that humbly. It's a nice picture, just a little too processed.
Did that sound better?

I love the processed image. The only thing I would change is the eyeshadow. It's way too dark. Other than that, great edit!

I'm not a big fan of the over processed, plastic-looking skin. Humans have pores, why do photographers think that they should not be seen? Humans also have beauty marks, they are not blemishes. Ok, acne can be cloned out, but that is still representative of that person at that age, so I'm torn.

All my biases aside, the skin tone seems unnatural. If you had left it the tone of the original it may have looked better to me.

Gotto go with QF on this, I like the outcome, good crop and edit, but the face skin is to plastic compared to the neck and the rest. I prefer a more humane look, when I was fixing a wedding album recently, sometimes I would opt out from using the Portraiture plugin exactly because of a too strong effect, let's say in 30% of photos. Even on default mode, the skin would look too much like lt. Data from StarTrek. I found that NoiseNinja default settings are just enough for those 30% provided that the bigger imperfections are ironed out before NN treatment.

I think this definitely looks like it could be a pin up girl. Actually now that I think about it it reminds me of Chicago... Anyways I think the PP suits that style well! Nice job.
