wow, thanks for all your comments!

I agree with so many of them. I think it looks much better with the lines on the walls straightened out! I also think that i should have left some sort of reflection detail in the mirror to make it more realistic, and shadows on the hands would have helped too. I shot and edited the photo last year and had only been doing photography for a few months so it was quite challenging for me. I used photoshop CS2 to edit it, but the screenshot is from CS4.

=)

If I may add one more tiny thing, although the ripple is a nice idea, if it was overdone, like over the whole surface of the mirror, then that might not work so well, so maybe just a little bit where the hands come out.. just a teeny bit..

What I wanted to add is that the body inside the mirror would benefit from being a bit darker. Our natural perspective is that is something is darker, or blurred, then it's farther away, hence the play with depth of field and lighting. That's also why P&S shots in the daytime look really flat. So to add more depth and give the illusion that you are actually behind the mirror, you could darken the body just a little bit.

Overall, I loved the photo, I enjoy using photoshop to create impossible instances, and mirrors are a great medium for that. Especially when you want to show what you are feeling inside..

Thanks for the inspiration!
