so this is the original.



its not too bad, theres a bit of action in there, Hacket is clear and in focus, the background is not. colours are ok. but i wanted more. so i made this'



what i did first was cropped it. then i adjusted the levels, then added a little saturation, and darked it slightly, then i reduced noise, and sharpened a little to help with the cropping. then i duplicated this layer, and made the back layer look the way the background is, and then i simply lassoed and deleted on the top layer. then i printed it on gloss (6x4)

what do you think? did i make something fun and kool. or was the original fine?

it is interesting. I do like the way the shadow in the second one is more prominent

I love what you've done...the only things I'd have changed is to crop so he's got a little room to "drive into" camera left, and not over-sharpen - the background looks a little funky - unless you wanted it to look sort of animated, which in that case it's kind of cool. If it was the people that you wanted out...you could clone them out. Otherwise, nicely done!
