Can't sleep, so I am playing around with some more photos in Photoshop Element 6. This is a photo taken at the Cloisters in NYC a couple of years ago.

DSC_0257

Pretty typical vacation/tourist snapshot. So I:
straightened photo, cropped, converted to black and white, and went into filters and chose posterize, then hit unsharp mask in the enhance menu. I also cloned out the lights in the ceiling with the blemish tool. I think I will go back and adjust brightness. This is what I got:

Pretty cunning, don'tcha think?.

Interesting effect, popular in video productions a decade or so ago.
