Default Cross processing - my first try

Okay, here is my first attempt at cross processing! Not bad, if I do say so myself. LOL But of course, this is coming from a novice's eye. Please let me know your thoughts. I wanted to add a texture layer, but I couldn't find a texture I liked that would work with this photo.

For the original, I've attached it to this post instead.

I like a lot the results you got in this photo, the only detail capture my attention is the vignette, maybe you shoud try a more "natural" vignette and not that square?

Thanks Richard! I agree about the vignette. Actually, I tried to do a vignette from the Lomos tutorial, but it was giving me a different color vignette, not the darker black that I wanted. And I couldn't figure out how to change the color. So I decided add a vignette using the "inner shadow" effect and increasing the size and choke.

Is there another way of adding a vignette that you could share with me??

Oh...I have the Kent's lensblur action for Photoshop and it includes a niiice vignette action that I really like...you should check it out if you have Photoshop.

You've done well with your photo, but I notice that it doesn't quite have that colouring from the image you posted in the Post-Processing...did you change your mind?

Hey there commongrackle! Yeah, I know....I tried to get a similar colouring, but couldn't. I tried for the longest time but just couldn't get it, so I just kept workin' it til I came up with something I was satisified with. I'm definitely going to try another photo and practice more!

What is Kent's lensblur action you mentioned? Where is the tutorial on it -- here on DPS? I would definitely be interested!

Thx a bunch!!
