Default Lone Tree

I took this picture with an upper end point and shoot, FujiS7000. Editing was done in the upgraded Picnik.com. I honestly cannot tell you every step I took to get to this phase in editing. There was a lot of overlay actions and color adjustment. I hope you enjoy. ~Sue

I've just started working in Photoshop, so I need to run some actions on it through there. I don't have the knowledge yet for the distressed/scratchy action, though. In time, I'll edit again, there.

I offered an 11x14 print of this for our local Conservation Club's yearly fundraiser, which gives scholarships to high school seniors to become members of the Conservation Club. I received a lovely call from the lady who was highest bidder in the auction, and she was absolutely delighted to win the bid. This was my first experience in any of my photography going to the public, and I meekly asked her what my print contributed to the fund. She gladly told me she paid $70 for it, and would have paid over $100, so she was well pleased. That made me feel pretty good for a lil' ole hobbyist.

Personally just my opinion, I prefer the original, cold feel of the first shot. Either way, nice shot.

I'm a big fan of trees, and I think both versions are beautiful but I love the edited version. I can see why the buyer was delighted!
