Default Flag: Night Shot

This was basically all done with adjusting the curves using DPP. I first adjusted the contrast and brightness then adjusted the red and blue to bring out the colors of the flag. Only other PP was cropped at bottom and left side. PP is still a new and foreign world to me, but i'm trying to learn

Thumbs up

Did you adjust the White Balance? That should always (read = 95% of the time) be the first step.

If your PP Program has a white balance correction eye dropper you can automatically establish a photos neutral gray point which can do wonders for starting with the right colors.

No no no...don't touch it! The original is AWESOME!!! If I did anything to it I'd enhance the colors of the flag just a LITTLE so it stands out more..that's it. But I guess....if you want it to really look like "night"..your edit is good. I personally prefer the original though, by far-it's a GREAT shot! Wish I took it! lol

I agree, the original is wonderful & doesn't need any touch-ups.

I don't understand why you did it, but seriously. The first one looks alot better. With the shine and all. The second one looks too dull.

I like the original as well. All it needed is crop the bottom and maybe check the white balance, but really the original is great.
