Default Simple Improvement - Really Simple!

Whilst I enjoy reading eveyones techniques I stuggle to try any of it myself. Most of it goes strainght over my head (my fault not theirs) and I don't have the required software either.

Therefore I thought I would share my very simple process for improving this shot using just the free software that was bundled with my camera ..

Sharm Palm - Before

Only 3 steps
  1. Increase Contrast
  2. Increase Saturation
  3. Crop to remove edge of leaf from bottom right of original

Sharm Palm

Not changed the shot drastically and there is probably more that could be done but it's a bit more stiking, took no skill and only took 2 minutes.

Good job, but you have no excuse not to have The GIMP

You're right about The GIMP and I have concidered downloading it. Just haven't had any burning desire to do it yet.

Still, simple is sometimes effective!
