Default The tree

Well it started off real bad and it still needs to be improved upon. I took the shot without really working the camera. I liked the tree and the leading line and thought I would shoot it to remember for another day...

Anyway. I could not resist playing today....

I made 3 exposures in RAW then merged them in Photomatrix. Then opened PS4 and checked levels, curves. Duplicated the layer, soft light overlay. Then B&W conversion and lots of dodging and burning. Then sharpened it a little.

Feedback both negative and positive would be great.

I agree the first one is kind of blah, and I think you did well with B&W rendering...it's now interesting.

Its a great shot and the black and white looks wonderful. I may have liked "the tree" to be a bit lighter to stand out.
