I was doing a depth field thing....

Very impressive close-up. Excellent sharpness and tonal qualities! I like the color contrast between the flower and the background. Well done!

lancer,

As above described, and exceptional color. Two things would happen if this were rotated a quarter turn to left: your diagonal would be more interesting/dynamic, and bloom would fit space better.

Excellent sharpness and depth of field. I see it was shot at f/4.5. Can you help me place where this would be in the aperture range of your camera's lens. How far were you from your subject? Did you use any macro or supplemental lenses here? Also, did you do any sharpening in post production? Nice work! Thanks for sharing this with us.

i'd have picked the petal off the middle first tho
also the picture is rather noisy, might be the iso, or jus that you had to tweak alot to get it on the forum in a reasonable size...
