Default Assignment: Feelings

My first post and my first assignment entry!

A Southerner's opinion of snow

Both my husband and I have grown in the deep south. After moving to Michigan due to job relocation 4 years ago, we still hate winter with the snow and cold. Shoveling is not our idea of fun as you can tell by my husband's expression in the photo. (Or maybe he's irritated more by me snapping photos instead of helping with the shoveling? )

Not for the assignment but I wanted to contrast my husband's feelings of winter and snow with my daughter's feelings. LOL

Default Assignment: Feelings

My neice - Happy that she got her MP3 player for Christmas. Being a typical teenager, the only emotion she shows her family is boredom so I was thrilled to get this shot.

First photo post - I hope I am doing this right.
My GS was playing around and a squirrel jumped on the limbs above his head. he looked up just as I caught him going "wow".

Zillygal,
That is a great shot. I can just read the excitement in that expression.

Here's a snapshot from the Christmas holiday. It just happen to fit with the assignment.

Peanut butter + foot + dog tongue = some interesting feelings

There appears to be another MikeM. I'm not him, I'm me.

This time of year is meant to be marked by happiness and joy but unfortunately I can't quite muster those emotions right now. Sadly it's a very difficult and painful time for my family.

This is a poor photo technique wise, but it was snapped in an instant, not posed and not set up - how can one capture the fleeting moment of a feeling in any other way?
feelings are like waves - can be non-existant and boring or large and scary! you've just got to learn your way to survive them - do you surf them or swim through?
