Lightbulb

The simplest thing we always forget about, but can't live without, a light bulb.

Sew what!?

Old technology-this sewing machine is over 20 years old. I shot some cogwheels last week for the assignment but saw someone had already thought of that so I had to rethink the assignment.

I draped a very light white cloth over the sewing machine and aimed a flashlight at the needle, hoping it would work to highlight the needle. I also added a little sepia (10% opacity) to the image to warm it a little and add a vintage feel to it. At least, I hope it does.

I'm happy to participate in this week's assignment. I had been racking my brain on what to photograph until I had an epiphany while sitting in my car as I was getting ready to leave for work! No more multiple Mapquest pages to look at while trying to dodge my fellow insane motorists on the beltway!
