Default Assignment: Your Evening

Just got some Velvia 50 processed the other day. Since I don't have a flat light thing to look at them with I used my flat screen monitor and a Digital Optics 2.0X screw on telephoto lens turned backwards to enlarge them. Velvia looks amazing.

Velvia Slide

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
Exposure: 0.5
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 53 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off
Date and Time (Original): 2009:04:30 00:19:24

I thought the idea seemed interesting.

Default Assignment: Your Evening

Difficult to choose one particular evening activity... In stead of cluttering a picture with loads of items, I picked a "rainbow" of books from my library and fiddled about with making lighting more interesting:

Assignment: My Evening

Yep, I'm a fan of "whodunnits"...!

Date picture taken: April 30, 2009

EXIF:
Camera: Nikon D40
Exposure: 0.067 sec (1/15)
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 52 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: -5/3 EV
Flash: No Flash

ViewNX was used to adjust white balance and Gimp to crop to size.

Default Assignment: Your Evening

Needed to go out and shoot something that evening. It was a beautiful day. Headed over to Washington Square Park to attend a lightsaber battle event an improv group had arranged.

Saw this poet writing poetry while you wait at one corner with a typewriter.
