Default Assignment: High ISO

Here is a photo taken in my living room at very low light with Olympus E-510 and maximum ISO of 1600. High ISO noise is a issue with this camera, but I liked a photo and did not use any noise reduction.

Lenses: Sigma 30mm/f 1.4

Apreture: f/1.4

I was playing around with 1600 ISO. I took a picture of my wife's collection of Willow Tree. The bowl is on the shelf below the figurine.

Default Assignment: High ISO

I was working at breahead arena the other day and decided to take a few photos of the river clyde for this assignment. I used the highst ISO that my camera will allow and done a 9shot muti exposure to help randomise out the noise as well as giving me a smother look to the reflections in the water

My Wall-e toy

wall e

This is my wall-e toy which I use as a desktop ornament in my office. It's pretty cool because you can connect any mp3 player to it and it acts as a speaker and dances to the beat of the music you're playing .

Exposure: 1/20"
Aperture: F8
ISO Speed Rating: 1600
Metering Mode: Spot

Normally I would use noise ninja on it but since the theme is high ISO and the noise works in this photo I left it.

Farming is a way of life for him. The tradition has carried on from his grandfather, to my grandad, to dad and now to my brother. I can't imagine dad ever having an office job, he would die if he was cooped up inside.

Special times with dad include walking to the beach, when on holidays, holding hands, the one time of year that Dad was worry-free, relaxed and so much fun.

I originally called this photo 'Grainy grain' but I now think 'Ingrained farmer' may work better.

Default Assignment: High ISO

I got out of work a little early today and decided that I would grab my camera and go out into the woods cross-country skiing. After taking a bunch of shots of half frozen streams, large trees against the snow, and other cliched winter shots, I got home and liked this one the best. I didn't think anything of it when I took it, but it stood out to me as the best. I love the texture of the cattail. It almost looks bundled up against the cold. I like that I had to work to get to this picture rather than just pull off to the side of the road. All the more worthwhile.

Okay, so it's not incredibly creative, but my kitty does make a good subject as she poses well. I had two that I took with a high ISO that I liked, but I decided to use this one.
