Post Goa, India

Assignment: Beach

I shot this while I was on a vacation to India earlier this year in Feb/Mar. Shot at Miramar Beach in Goa, India. (It's a fantastic beach..) I can't seem to retain the EXIF data as I am uploading this from my workplace. I will try again to upload it from the original files I have at home. This is my first post in this forum, please be patient if things don't work right away.

Any critiques and/or comments are welcome. Thanks!

Assignment: Beach

Click for full res and EXIF

It was threatening rain, but didn't actually rain until much later in the evening, well past dusk. I've shot this location on many occassions, but I've never gotten lucky with dramatic lighting like this before. It isn't close enough to my house that I can just run out there quickly and snap shots whenever the light is good, so I just have to take what I can get. I did some film emulating in post, added a velvia-esque curve layer and seasoned to taste.

P.S. that's Lake Erie for those that want to know.

Default Great-nephews and niece at the ocean

Catching the splash of this wave along with their reactions was pure luck. 8-)

Not sure this qualifies, as I took it 3 years ago with my Canon Powershot A70 point-n-shoot camera, before I knew a darn thing about photography! (Not that I know much now, with a whole 2 weeks under my belt!)

This was taken on Waikiki Beach in Maui, Hawaii. They have the most gorgeous sunsets there!

When I took the picture, I thought of editing out the guy sitting on the beach (since I don't know who he is), but I've since decided that I like him there

hawaii_day6_072104_sunset800

I have no camera settings to post, since this was probably taken on Auto mode with a point-n-shoot.
