Assignment: Costumes (17 Sept - 1 Oct)

I hope you will still consider this for the weekly contest! I am in Michigan in the US and it is still October 1st here......I rushed home for work to get it uploaded and off my camera!

My little son dressed as Yoda for halloween. We took him to an apple orchard this Sunday to get some fall pics in his costume. My husband had him peering through the window of this old barn and I love the expression on his face!

I wanted to take this picture for a while. I finally found a good deal on a mask and I already knew the lighting I wanted on it so it was a fairly simply setup, shoot, and break down. The only issue was getting the correct angel and perspective of the mask.

This is called as "Pattada Gombe" in local language - Kannada. Every year, during the month of Oct we celebrate "Nava ratri" which means 9 Nights, where in we keep many dolls and celebrate festivals. These two dolls are special and kept in memory of King and The Queen..
