Default Weekly Assignment: Wide Open

Weekly Assignment: Wide Open

This is my first post. I just got the camera and i am learning all the new features. I'm use to an older Nikon with no bells and whistles.

This was taken just after sunset at f3.5

Default Assignment: Wide Open

It's Domo Kun! Everyone's favorite completely nonsensical Japanese mascot.
Taken at f4.8, which is the widest the 18-200mm Nikkor goes at 50mm.
I usually get pretty dissatisfied with my shots fairly quickly, but this one still amuses me for some reason.

Default wide open

I have never shot wide open. I love this site because it challenges me to do things I have never done.
I have others but this is my fave. Shot with 50mm at f1.8

I'm not sure if this qualify because this was shot at f4.5, not f4 which would have been the max aperture....

I used a Pentax-M 1.7 50mm lens Wide Open, on a Pentax K100D for this entry.

I took this one on April 17th, so no assignment for me...

Anyways, the aperture was as far open for the focal length I was at (I think 55mm at the time)... Enjoy!
