Default Not for the assignment

Changed my mind and this won't be for the assignment, but am still leaving it in this thread.

I like how the shadow of the dog looks like it is walking along the stones in the back of the garden. I'm glad that I got out while the sun was shining because the clouds rolled in shortly afterwards!

Default Not for the assignment

I haven't taken an assignment picture yet but found this one in my collection which I'd like to share. It was taken in October 2007.

Well, in a 30 minute shoot this afternoon I took 5 shots for this assgnment. Now I have to decide which to post for the mini comp. At the moment I'm favouring this one but have a look at my flickr stream and tell me if I'm right please.

Default Assignment: Shadows

White Door

We were in Florida last week and I took this picture in Springfield, an old section of Jacksonville. The shadows are subtle but they make the picture interesting - without the shadows the picture would be flat. (It looks better in the larger size.)

You picked the right one - what a great place it looks like an old castle.

Default Assignment: Shadows

Assignment: Shadows

This is my submission for the assignment.

I tried to be creative with this assignment. I wanted a little more than a standard shadow, so I asked my partner to pose for this picture. I set my shutter speed to 4 seconds and asked him to move after 2. The idea was to create a shadowy version of the subject, which turned out really good to my liking!

No post, original picture (but you might have to brighten up your screen to view it in its full glory ^_^)
