River at the Old Forrest Mill

My contribution to the weekly assignment is taken at the river (or perhaps more like a stream) at the old Forrest Mill near Aarhus, Denmark. Taken on Feb. 24th, 2008.

I don't know if it fits for the assignment, but I decided to give it a try.

This is an inverted image of fireworks, I named it "Rivers of fire".

Default Not for assignment

Way too old for the assingment, taken in 2006 and with my small Nikon 4100. Taken atop Brasstown Bald, the hightest point in Georgia, looking down in the valley at the river below.

I just love this shot! I think the water level marker makes the shot. Great capture!

The fog really does seem to set the mood. Lovely! New at this too.

Default Latest Assignment - Rivers

Mississippi - Winter - DPS Assignment

Camera: Nikon D80
Exposure: 8 sec (8)
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 35 mm
ISO Speed: 100

This is a shot of downtown Minneapolis, MN, USA, and the Mississippi River. Unfortunately, the River is mostly frozen. Once it thaws, I think I will retake this shot to get a better reflection, and then I will put the time into it to do some post processing to eliminate power lines.

Ideally, this shot is usually taken with a lit bridge about 1/4 mile down the river; however, due to the 35W bridge collapse, access to this ideal location is not accessible.

Actually i think this shoot is good! Feels a bit between reality and confusion/dream. We're not quite sure it has been heavily post processed or not (well, at least with the experience I have).
