Default Two cats and a beautifuly puppy!

Rawr

One of my brother's kittens feeling feisty.

Whassup

And another one, curious about what that clicky thing pointed at it is.

Christmas Roo

Okay, so technically, my wife took this one, but I can't post in a pets thread and NOT give you a picture of my own pet, right? This is our miniature schnauzer Elsie Roo--Roo because, as my wife says, "She bounces like a 'roo!" Yes, that is a Christmas stocking in the background. Yes, it does say "Woof." Yes, it is Elsie's. And yes, it is embroidered with her name. What can I say? It's a sickness...

Here is Yogi doing what he does best, sleep.

I recently moved and this little stray kitty cat has made a home on my porch. So I guess she has adopted me, or have I adopted her....

Dave, very nice picture of Yogi. I have a black cat also and find him very hard to photograph. Nice job!

I've taken many many many pictures of Yogi and I only have a few worth showing. He is an very active cat, so finding him still can be difficult. I don't recall exactly how I took this photo. I'm pretty sure I let the camera do all of the metering.

This is Callie. She's not my dog, but belongs to a very good friend. She's one of my favorite photo subjects as my cats don't much like to pose

Django

It's my neighbours dog. Taken a couple of months ago. He's a bit bigger now and I'll have to have another try and see if I can do better now

Happy holidays everyone!
First DSLR, first visit to the site, and first post...

I just got a Canon 30D and I'm so excited. I look forward to exploring the camera and its abilities, as well as my own, and seeing what all of you are doing with yours... I've got a LOT to learn!!

When I pulled the new camera out of the box, I looked around for my first 'victim' and one of my cats was nearby.

Allow me to introduce Hide, of the sister duo Hide & Seek...

"What was that?" -Hide checking out the new camera
