I like my sd600 it takes great shots and is really quick. You can mess around with a ton of manual settings or go full automatic. I really like its size because that means you can take it everywhere. I take more pictures if I have my camera with me! I like having an optical view finder so I can take pictures in an auditorium inconspicuously. I like the quality of movie it produces as well. The battery lasts a long time. Ability to change ISO settings is handy in low light. Burst pictures are fun. The flash is more effective than previous digital cameras I have had. Playback to TV is fun to show off pics to a group. You could spend a good deal of time mastering the machine but you can begin taking great pics without knowing more than the quick start sheet. I have had mine for 4 months and taken maybe 1400 pictures, I recommend it!
