Powershot A700

How do you get the best out of your point and shoot camera? Does anyone have the A700? I like the outdoor images it gives most of the time but the indoor flash is not very good, in my opinion. Does anyone have any ideas for settings etc for this camera when you use it indoors?

my neighbour has one and has found it to be a good camera. I can't give you specific advice for this one but indoor shots are always a challenge on point and shoots. They either are too harsh with the flash or if you switch it off they need a very high ISO (and then you get grain).

A friend of mine puts cellotape over his flash to difuse it a bit. Another person I know bounces the flash up a little with little piece of white card. Both of these methods tone down the flash alittle which can help.
