Pentax Optio 50

hi guys.. recently i found this forum and site full of tips for my photography!
My cameras are an (old) Pentax Optio 50, and a Nokia N73..
I don't think that are great cameras.. :(:( Isn't possible to select the aperture, the shutter speed...
but soon i'll buy the new pentax K10d.. (i need another 143 euro) :)
what can i do with my camera untill i'll buy a new one?? there is any change to get good photos??
