According to numerous web sites, Adobe is going to release a beta of Photoshop CS3 tomorrow. This is mostly for Intel Mac users, but I assume it will run on all platforms.
The beta should be available at labs.adobe.com, and if I remember right you need to already own Photoshop CS2 to use it.
It can be downloaded at: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs%5Fphotoshop

It'll be interesting to see how many Macs are sold as a result of the final CS3 release, as many creative pros have been waiting for CS2/3 on the Intel platform before upgrading to the new Intel Macs.

I've definitely been holding off on upgrading to an Intel Mac because of Photoshop. Also, the Mac Pro's have only just come out and I'm waiting for at least one version rev of the hardware (so they can work out all the kinks) before upgrading (which will also give more time for more apps to become Universal Binaries)
I wonder if Corel Painter will also be a Universal Binary soon.

According to http://www.dpreview.com/news/0612/06121402photoshopcs3beta.asp you can use it for 2 days without having CS2 key.

Well, I downloaded CS3 and installed. With my current version of CS2 it allows me 30 days to try it out. I also signed up for a 7 day introductory course through NAPP given by Dave Cross.
So far it is looks good. The interface has changed a lot and Adobe Bridge has taken on the look and feel of Lightroom. A cool feature in this beta is that when you open up any of the editing boxes it shows you what is new or has been changed to CS3. Pretty much it for now, got to go play with the new toy.

Just downloaded and installed it. Couple of features I really like: Non-destructive Smart Filters and the Refine Edges options. Both will have a huge impact (maybe) on my future workflows. The new Quick Selection Tool is a step in the right direction, but I'm not sure I'm yet ready to give up my pixel-level control of selections just yet.
The interface is using all custom widgets. I wonder if this is to unify the interface for the Mac and PC? Anyone got it running on both platform that can confirm this?
