Hey there everyone,

I was wondering what y'alls recommendation would be for a good pocket low light camera. The back story is that I run a site where I collect pictures of people's knuckle tattoos (http://www.knuckletattoos.com). Since most of the time I run into people with knuckle tattoos is at bars or tattoo shops, I'd like to have a decent camera on me that will be able to take a good photo in any lighting situation. So it has to fit in a pocket and (I guess) be capable of either high aperture shots or high ISO.

I'm looking at the Fuji FinePix F31fd (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilmf31fd/) because it (reportedly) has good results at high ISO and aperture/shutter priority options.

Any advice would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Nathan Black

Yes, that's really the best answer. Hurry before they're all gone -- looks like the F50 has succumbed to the megapixel marketing hype and traded low-light sensitivity for bigger-sounding numbers.

You might also consider the F20 or F30 -- they're almost identical internally. The F31fd has some tweaks to exposure and does less noise masking (and of course the face detection feature), but if you can find the F20 or F30 really cheaply, they're worth it.
