This week we have a picture from one of our regular WWYD contributors, Teewinot (who happens to be going on vacation this week, so hopefully she sees what wonderful things you've done to the picture when she gets back).
We've got a mountain goat for your post-processing fun oh, and there's a person in the picture too ;).
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7845858@N05/634718909/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1082/634718909_2966756094.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Mountain Goat" /></a>
Available Large (http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1082/634718909_2966756094_b.jpg)
The rules for the thread are simple. You post-process the picture however you want, you do your best to remember what you did to it, and you come back here and post the result along with your process.
If you want your picture to be the subject of one of these threads, drop me a PM, and the picture will get used in the order that I get it. There's almost always a delay of a few weeks, so don't worry if you don't see your picture right away.
Right, that's all the usual notes about what to do, so let's see what you would do!
PS, xxpinballxx, I'm waiting to see if you use your new technique you mentioned in Week 11 ;)

No Nicole I can't use it on this one....I need like a flower shot or a macro type of shot....
maybe I'll just do one and post here later this week.....
just playing around here...not trying to really do anything special.....
consider this WWYD 11 AND 12!
I know its bad cloning but I'm getting a hnang over and I'm tired.....I'll do a more serious attempt tomorrow.

I just tried, but I'm not in enchanting pictures with PS, i better like to make good picture so i don't need to make a lot of adjustments cause i don't know how to make it right, but you know - who don't try, that doesn't make mistakes and we are learning from mistakes cause we are humans :)
Have a nice day!

Started by making a copy of the background
Croped the hiker out
Changed the sky
Made 2 new layers for the sheep that I copied and cloned (cloning is legal here :D
Tried to add some fog. But I'm not too pleased with the way it turned out.
Used the dodge and sharpen tool

Are you using PS Elements for the fill flash function?
My first attempt at WWYD,
"Dave and The Goat"
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ike-uk/1045676888/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1154/1045676888_62708334f6.jpg" width="457" height="500" alt="Dave And The Goat - DPS WWYD" /></a>
1. Removed Blown Out Sky.
2. Inserted Sky From One Of My Photo's.
3. Edited Levels Slightly to bring contrast down a bit.
4. Changed colour balance +30 red +20 green 0 blue
5. Added a 20% Sepia Filter.
6. Cropped to a 12x10in
7. Move 'Dave' (called dave due to unknown name) To align With Goat (enhancing the 'what you lookin at' pose)
8. Made 'Dave' Blend in more with the surroundings using select and delete method.
9. Cropped again leaving the path to use as eye guide.

One without bells and whistles first:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/47146451@N00/1047259375/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1100/1047259375_5b866e496c.jpg" width="500" height="376" alt="GoatX" /></a>
Got up to 5 layers, moving man, adding sky, masking overall and erasing through to man and goat, then a vignette to focus attention on them. Sunlight color added to last layer.

Are you using PS Elements for the fill flash function?
No, I'm using Paint Shop Pro XI's Flash fill function.

Trying to highlight areas of interest with lighting and blur and going crazy with selective color, curves, dodging and burning.

Here are my tries,
I like the old "slide film" look on the first :
http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2321/pavk4.jpg
[vignetting, cross processing, duplicate layer in lighten mode]
And the other, well, more classic :

[vignetting, a bit desaturated, play with curves (slight S in RGB mode)]

(apologize for the month delay...was gone on vacation)...
Great edits everyone!! I really liked this shot for its concept (pcarfan said it well with "dawn of a new friendship"), but I had very little time to compose when the moment presented itself so I blew out the sky, etc. So it was fun to see how people tried (and succeeded in) fixing my mistakes. Oh, and "Dave" is my dad. :D
