Nikon D80 or Canon EOS 350D? I know they have some little differences, but the prices differ a lot more - the 350D is a lot cheaper.

350D is also a lot older. 400D is more comparable.

There is no answer to this question.

You need to go pick up whatever you're considering and figure out which one fits your hand. You'll be glad you did.

I love my 350D, but I can't really help you decide as I haven't used the D80 before.

The 350D is lightweight, cheap, but good and has many features for the price.

I second jdepould - make sure you hold them both. That's what I did, and ended up with a D50. One of the major reasons for that was simply the "hand-feel" of the Nikon over the comparable Canon. You could just as easily choose the Canon when doing the same test, but if you're going to be carrying it around for the next few years, make sure it feels "right".

I've picked up a D80 and a D40x.. the D40x is really small and harder to grip, so that's how I chose the D80 over the D40x. What about the D70?Does anybody have one?

In this price range, don't overlook the Pentax K10D.

And consider the Olympus E-510
