I was outdoors today playing with my camera a bit and decided to try and capture the clouds because I liked the way they looked.

I ended up getting a pretty nice vignette from leaving my lens so wide. Obviously it is slightly exagerated after I set the levels, but it was definitely there before PP.

I found a function on my camera that allows me to decide what colors there should be more of. Perfect for sky/horizon shots because I can get more blues than normal.

Here's my EFIF Data for the nerd's out there:p (I'm one of them!)

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT
Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture: f/14
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0/2 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire

Not bad. The flare from the sun adds a nice touch.

i really like it, but with the vignetting on just the one corner, i think it's a bit distracting. if it were all or none i think it would be a better photo. my $.02

looks great! I agree the vignetting on just one corner did distract me a first. Otherwise, great composition!

Whoa, I was just looking through your photo's and saw pictures of Nice Peter! Are you a fan of him? I just played a show with him on Saturday. I remember seeing Nice Peter back when it was an actual band a few years ago at the Flint Local 432 here in Michigan.

Thanks for the replies. Personally, I'm a fan of the intense vignetting, but that's just me.

Ha, that's awesome. That dude is crazy hilarious. One time Nice Peter saved the show at a venue I used to work at/attend by playing for an hour and a half while (instead of a half hour) so the headliner had time to get there (they were stuck in traffic).

By the way, your photo's look good on Flickr!
