I am new to digital photography; so I may be asking a very novice question here. I apologize to start.

I just bought a Canon A540 and Photoshop CS2 for X'mas . I noticed when I use the camera to display the photo's data, it shows more information than Photoshop. For example: the camera can show mode (e.g. Av), white balance method (e.g. sun light), flash compensation, ISO, etc. However, Photoshop 'file info' and Exif data does not show this data.

Is there anyway I can get Photoshop to show this data, or are there other software I should use?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There are some good EXIF readers out there for both Mac and PC that will show all the photo data that your camera shows plus more.

I use Simple EXIF Viewer (http://homepage.mac.com/aozer/EV/) for Mac, which I really like, works by dragging the photo to the program and just dropping it there.

But on PC there is Exif-Reader (http://www.takenet.or.jp/%7Eryuuji/minisoft/exifread/english/) which also gives you lots of info.

Sorry I don't know more about how much info Photoshop can show you though :)

Thanks Nicole. Exif-Reader was exactly want I was looking for. I showed me the information that Photoshop and Windows file properties could not show me.
