I took some pictures of my niece that wears glasses over the holidays. I'm not used to shooting subjects with glasses, so I didn't think anything about it at the time. Any suggestions on ways to fix the glare in post processing (using Adobe Photoshop)?

Glare from the glass or frames? I have had luck using the clone tool for the glare on the frames. This usually is a small area and easy to cover and hide. As for glare from the lens, I find that the healing and spot healing brushes do well. Choose from an area around the eyes, behind the lens without glare as a reference point. Don't forget patience and work small areas at a time around the eyes. People are going to looks at the eyes of a person in a photo so making them look as good as possible is a must if you do any processing to them. If there is a better or eaiser way I would like to know also. I have had luck doing it this way, even as far as removing colored glare from the lenses of glasses.

I know this doesn't help you, but when shooting portraits of someone with glasses, you can shoot some reference shots of them without the glasses on and then do a bit of copy/paste work. That's what the portrait studio who shot my grad photos this year did.

In the case of post processing a single photo though, I don't have anything to add beyond what's already been said, but I think there are some good tips there.

sometimes, when the eye itself is obscured, you can use the clone brush to steal some from the other eye, if it looks all right. I'd duplicate the other eye to another layer, flip it horizontally, and try to get it in there about right... this is just one of those things that takes a lot of patience and finesse. You have to have an eye for it (no pun intended). You may be able to take a picture of somebody else's eye and steal parts of it.

Don't know if I'm making much sense or even helping much at all. Replacing eyes isn't something I do often. Long story short, there's not really an easy way to do it. You have to work at it.
