Here's my attempt at an action photo. 2 cowboys are flanking the calf. The dragger was moving too although not much. I did a little editing but I would love to know what you think of the photo and the editing.

What a fun picture! You always have some neat cowboy shots. You did a good job of freezing the action, and I love the cloud of dust around the calf. I personally think that the vignetting is a little too strong. Maybe lower the opacity on it just a smidge - I think the vignetting should stay though, it helps draws the attention into the action. The fence in the background looks crooked, so you could try straightening the pic a bit. I do really like this picture and I'm envious of you for getting to take so many gorgeous cowboy shots. Can't wait to see more! You should look at the pic of my little cowgirl in the portrait critique section.

You are very kind wbhp! I appreciate the critiques and the kind words. I've been working a little harder on my photos.

And you know why it's crooked, because I was hanging over the side of the fence trying to face a direction that my body didn't want to turn.....LOL. I'm not sure how to straighten the picture but I'll learn.

I'm headed to see your pic;)

Depending on your editing software you may be able to rotate the image with that.

I like the shot but agree with PP that the vignette is just a bit too strong. I like the action you captured for sure. Have you considering converting this image to b/w? It seems like it would be a great candidate for that, although b/w may not be to your taste?

I do b/w all the time but I didn't try it with this. I'll play around with it to see how it looks and I'll work on the vignette.
