Ok it took a while but I managed to make the photo fit.
Actualy had this one developed and it came out good but, It is of the photo's that got some blur to it.

Good timing on the shot but it looks like the white balance is a bit off to me.

Yeah, the color is off a bit and a little more sky and less of the mixed up sandy water at the bottom would have helped balance the picture.

If possible you should have done a way tighter crop to set the focus more on the surfer. Here's a shot I got a while back at Flagler Pier.

So what am I doing wrong? how can I get the high speed shots to come out with out the blurr?

Faster shutter speed will stop action more. Sometimes, a little bit of movement isn't a bad thing.

Here is the exif info from the shot you took.

Exif IFD0

* Camera Make = NIKON CORPORATION
* Camera Model = NIKON D40
* Picture Orientation = normal (1)
* Last Modified Date/Time = 2008:04:26 17:01:49

Exif Sub IFD

* Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 8/1000 second = 1/125 second = 0.008 second
* Lens F-Number/F-Stop = 32/1 = F32
* ISO Speed Ratings = 400
* Original Date/Time = 2008:04:26 14:24:59
* Flash = Flash did not fire
* Focal Length = 200/1 mm = 200 mm

You shot at a way to slow shutter speed. When I shoot surf shots during the day, the slowest I ever shoot is 1/800, but usually between 1/1200, to 1/2000 of a second. Your shooting at 1/125 is where all your problems are.
