So who out there has a photo blog. I just started on at:
http://ofmyeye.blogspot.com/
I don't really like blogger for photo blogs, but I'm too cheap right now to pay for software and hosting. What do other people use? What software, who do you host through, any suggestions for starting a photoblog, and of course, post a link to your own.

Wow, that pixelpost looks pretty spiffy. I don't have a photoblog at this point, merely my website that I started a few years back for my Renaissance festival pictures that is spawning into other things now. http://johnwright.homeip.net
I went the cheap route on hosting and just run it from my home computer on IIS (Microsoft built in web host on win2k and XP) over my cable connection using a free DNS given from http://www.dyndns.com/. Were I to start it again or rebuild my computer again I would probably use Apache (http://www.apache.org/) for Windows but at this point I'm lazy. Of course there are some better free web hosts out there but I like controlling all of my content and I'm a geek so I can put up with the making sure I don't leave security loopholes and such. Not recommended for the faint of heart.

i would like to say.. in using pixelpost you can get a discount on hosting if you choose "eleven2" which is who the whole pixelpost.org is hosted on
i use eleven2 i find them cheap and good .. atleast 99% uptime
i am in no way associated with eleven2 either...lol

well, my current blog - http://whitemug.blogspot.com - isn't necessarily limited to just my photos. i have a couple of articles included there.
i do have my multiply site, though: whitemug.multiply.com (http://whitemug.multiply.com).
i intend to apply for a pro account with flickr soon.

I use PixelPost also. I'm at http://www.selectedpixels.com
Nature's Pixel: I really like your calendar, that shows the thumbnails directly on a calendar. Is that a tag that comes with PP? Or? Also, I assume you get some kind of "kickback" for allowing the advertising? I really like your site. Well done! (and the pics are great too)

I use fotopages because it allows me a good deal of text editing with a simple photo interface.
See http://photos.thefischers.org for my example.

i used to use pixelpost but it was a small hassle to have to bring down resolutions and then upload (as well as uploading full res in flickr)
Last month I switched to blogger, http://www.hitkaiser.com
And I use flickr to post directly into blogger... So far so good, I dont have to worry about bandwidth issues or renewing hosting etc.. All i pay for is my domain and flickr pro which is well worth it anyway
I would still like my images to appear a big larger though (coming straight out of flickr)

hey it is an ADDON which you can find here >> Calender Archive (http://www.pixelpost.org/v1/index.php?x=downloads&details=6)

hmm well that depends on if people click the adverts.. then yes i get paid :)
i don't like to have them... but since i am not allowed to work yet here in Canada.. i need all the help i can get to pay for my hosting :)
and thank you :) did you see the black or the white template???lol

I use a bloggerspot blog and just use the "blog this" feature from flickr to post pics there and comment on them.
Both of which are accessible in my signature below.

I use Gallery 2. An open source app on my own server. It works pretty well, but it is a little slow.

Hi, i have a photoblog and a flickr account, the photoblog is kinda new, i opened yesterday :)
Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/gdelossantos/
Photoblog: http://pixelrojo.com/
Collective: http://colr.us/
I have a general purpose blog (http://http://www.web-den.org.uk/home/) but you can filter it down to just see the images (http://www.web-den.org.uk/cgi-bin/wulfblosxom/images) category (or to get just that part as an RSS feed (http://www.web-den.org.uk/cgi-bin/wulfblosxom/images/index.rss)).
I am currently working through a series on my favourite photos from every month of 2006, following the organisation I did to pick my personal favourite from the year for the thread here.

I use Photoblog (http://www.photoblog.com/user/sagelike31/2007/01/11/) which you can also find on my sig.
It's more of a community and it's pretty simple to use.
Check it out the community when you get a chance.

I have just a regular blog (some might call it a mommy blog:p ), but I do post a photo a day, each and every day, linked directly from my Flickr photostream. And every Sunday is Photo Sunday, featuring a small photo essay.
Both are linked in my signature below.

So I just discovered aminus3 (http://www.aminus3.com/), a completely free photoblog service that has a pretty cool approach. Anyone can get a photoblog with unlimited storage (which i can't quite figure out) and then they have a community page where they randomly preview various photoblogs from the community. It's got a really nice, clean, and easy to use interface. I set my blog (http://ofmyeye.aminus3.com/)up yesterday. Took no time at all. I have my original blog at blogspot, but I think I'm going to switch to this. Much better setup if you're looking strictly for a photo-a-day type site.
Here is my photoblog (http://ofmyeye.aminus3.com/). Today (jan. 12) i've posted what is probably my favorite picture I've ever taken. Check it out.

I've always had a Xanga (http://www.xanga.com/asinine), so I just converted it to my new photo blog, using Flickr pro (http://www.flickr.com/photos/yuri_kim) as my host.
I dunno, I just <3 flickr.

I started a intermitant photoblog a while ago as an aside to my normal blog. The original idea was to throw up any pictures that I took that interested me (bearing in mind that I'm a complete novice with a DSLR) and add my blog entry on to that. Saved me cluttering up my mostly text blog with photos all the time.
Anyway as part of one of those 101 things in 1001 days I decided to to a daily photoblog for a year. My only problem was that I've not managed to work out wether it should be any old photo that illustrates the day or wether I should be soley posting 'good' pictures I took every day.
Either way you can find it here (http://www.theapochrypha.co.uk/photoblog/)
