This one fills the full frame. Do you think it's better than the last picture? Again, if you want to see more of my work, please visit my website at www.sjhfoto.com

I like the motion and the look you captured in her face, a mix of determination and sole focus on that ball. The only thing I'm not fond of is the cropping (that the volleyball and her legs are both cropped out) - this may have been a limit of the length of your lens - particularly if you were close to the action - and being a former volleyball player myself I understand how fast the movement is (particularly towards the bleachers) when trying to save an out of reach ball which it looks like she is doing. Next time I would try to keep both her and the ball in frame if it's possible (you can always crop down a little later). Otherwise I like the components of the shot. You did a very nice job with focus as well - it's hard to freeze motion like that.

Thank you for the kind words! You are right, of course-the crop is bad-I wish I got the whole ball, and her shins.
And before I forget, let me tell you the settings for that picture: it was taken with a Canon 40d at ISO 3200 at 100mm f/2 (taken with the prime lens) at a shutter speed of 1/1000sec. I had the camera in AV mode and the exposure compensation at +1/3 stop. I use Photoshop Elements 2.0 (that's right) to work on the shot.
