So basically this is how it was done.
- I set up my lighting system so that I have light in front and behind me. Both lights had umbrellas to diffuse the light.
- I stood by a mirror and my wife took two sets of shots (actually she took 50 odd shots to get the desired effect, but you know what I mean).
- Once I got the shots it was on to photoshop. I put the two photos that I thought were the best and put them on top of each other to get them layered.
- Then I lassoed out the the half of the top image I wasn't using to bring out the bottom layer.
- I erased the edges of the top layer with a feathered brush to give make it seamless. I did this with a pen tablet.
- I flattened the shot and put a hard light glow on it.
Now I like the way this came out. But as I look at it I see potential for more.
Is there anything I could have done differently or is there anything that I could have added.
Thanks for you comments in advance.
