I have a D200, which I love. I'm looking to purchase a small digital camera that will fit into my purse, so that I always have a camera at hand. I've looked at several, but have found them lacking in two areas: 1) Most don't have a viewfinder and 2) The lag time leaves a lot to be desired, compared to my Nikon.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

I have a Canon G7 that I keep with me alot. It takes good pictures and doesn't seem to have a long lag between the press of the shutter release and the picture is recorded. One site I look at for a lot of information on the shutter lag and such is dpreivew.com. They do some real detailed reviews of a wide range of cameras.
And the newer Canon G9 has RAW support.
Good luck on the search...I know it took me some time and research before I decided on the G7.
