What do you think of the colors, image, composition?

rlarsen,
Background color/blur is topnotch, very well done.
The image is just unsharp enough to be unsalvageable. Its small size means there is not much detail to start with, and then without a really tight focus, it would be better to retake it, concentrating on exacting sharpness.
Composition is good tilted to the left; if you rotated camera to vertical, you could get a little closer to the buds, with less background.
Your lighting worked well: the 1/25sec. may account for the blur, especially if you handheld and were moving slightly back and forth. Or breathing. Did you use a tripod?

Thanks Jiminy,
No tripod was used, it is like you say, must be breathing. I was kneeling on the ground and against a wall.

rlarsen,
Part of my "gear" is a pair of kneepads, given that vegetation tends to be 0 - 3 feet above ground. Then going into Macro magnifies every little motion. I don't use a tripod either, so I've had to try different methods for stability. My setup means the lens is between 1 and 3 inches away from subjects, so I can steady camera AND grip stem of blooms with left hand and little finger. If I move after focusing, so does the flower.

Thanks Jiminy. I will try shooting that way.

First to Jimmy-nice tip I will try that in my work.
If you were able to check that shutter speed before the shot I think that you would have an alarm go off that said...OOPS Im in for a difficut time hand holding this baby on this shot. Nice color and compostion. Isn't Macro fun, so close yet so far away
