Ok, so here's my first sports photos! Well, one anyway, to keep with forum rules :D This was the last goal our LA Kings scored of the game. Sadly, we lost :( 7 to 2! Yuck.

I think sports photos have to tell a story and I don't know whether this is about to be a score or if it's a great save. Timing is all!

nice pic, the only problem is the subject.... your shooting the wrong Californian team....

Hey now, the Kings may kinda suck, but in Late January when the Ducks played the Kings, your little Duckys lost, lol. Whats worse? Kinda sucking, or losing to a team that sucks? :D

Hehe....

Stanley Cups:

Ducks = 1
Kings = 0

that is all i need to say....

Hey Liz,

One thing I noticed in the flickr photos (I can't get to photobucket), is that I would lighten them up and crop a little tighter.

Thanks Billlio! I'll take a stab at that :)

I agree with Nathan. The timing wasn't right, you can't tell if it was going into the goal, or did the keeper made a save.

Good catch, but I think you need to speed up a little, or have more light so you can increase the speed a bit. Also, might zoom in on just one player............hard to tell what is happening at that moment........looks to me as if the puck is right next to the goal line?? You did well stopping the action!!

I don't think speed was the issue, I shoot a lot of hockey and set the shutter at 1/400, you were at 1/800. The picture did seem a little soft, which might be because of the high ISO. Dropping the shutter speed will allow you to lower the ISO some.

I love hockey and therefore always enjoy seeing what other fans do as far as photographing the game. Keep up the great work.
