i shot this on 3 22 08. i know the crop puts the bike in the center, but i really wanted to get all of the flying dirt in the photo. also to the left there were some people in the background and they were distracting. and i left a good bit in front of the bike to show where in it could move into. if that makes any sense.

I think I would crop so that you loose the empty space to the right of the biker. See http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/leaving-space-behind-moving-subjects-composition/ point 1.

Nice shot though. I like the sharpness, you can see the individual pieces of dirt flying through the air!

I couldn't quite put my finger on it at first, but I think you might need to bump the contrast and saturation.

hope you dont mind me doodling your pictures, could be made better with a little more time spent on the edges of the bike and rider, just a few ideas...
